Mid-morning break
Shiny Object Syndrome: avoiding tech regret

You’re the GC. Budget pressure is building. A vendor is offering 35% off - if you sign by Friday. What do you do? In this lively, interactive session, the Melius Law team recreates a realistic legal tech sales pitch and puts you in the buyer’s seat. You’ll spot red flags, pressure tactics and compare your experience with peers. This isn’t about vendor-bashing - it’s about clarity. Because the best legal tech outcomes happen when buyers know what good looks like, and ask better questions before they sign.
Breakout 1 | The VC landscape: benchmarks for breakout companies

In this session, a panel of top-tier VCs who back standout high-growth companies will share what they look for in 2026 — and what it takes to differentiate, raise funding, and break through in a post-AI world. Find out what separates the leading scaleups from the pack, and how legal can support them in making it happen. This session is hosted by Wilson Sonsini.
Breakout 2 | Staying sane as an in-house lawyer: practical tips to try tomorrow

In this interactive workshop, the ‘lawyers’ therapist’ Annmarie Carvalho will explore the causes of stress, anxiety and burnout, including in relation to AI, explore the psyche of the lawyer and provide practical suggestions that will take the edge off the worst of the stresses and strains.

Anthropic: inside legal at the world’s hottest startup

The world’s hottest startup is an AI company that’s taken enterprise software by storm and continues to reshape how work gets done in real time around us. What keeps its lawyers up at night? How do they handle legal tasks internally? And how do they see the future of in-house legal? Anthropic’s team joins us to offer a glimpse behind the curtain and share practical tips for success with AI.
Breakout 4 | Cyber Attack: what investors and boards demand from the GC

When a breach hits, the GC is the focal point for investors, customers, and the board. With cyber claims against European scaleups rising, we bring together legal and insurance experts to provide the "war room" strategies you need to protect your company’s reputation and capital. This session is hosted by Capsule Insurance.
Breakout 5 | Managing parental leave as a legal leader

Parental leave is a momentous time in your life, but also a complex stress test for a GC’s delegation, risk strategy, and professional identity. This frank panel moves beyond the handovers to the harder reality: how to prepare the right interim cover, make sure stakeholders and risk are handled, and navigate a high-impact return to the "new normal" - without sacrificing your seat at the table.

Keynote | The innovation lab: why Scaleup GCs will define the future of legal

The legal industry is transforming faster than any of us can keep up with, and the paralysis is real. But scaleup GCs have something the big players don't: the ability to move fast, experiment boldly, and redefine who (or what) delivers legal services in this new world. In this keynote, legal ops icon Mary O’Carroll reflects on insights gathered from legal ops, legal tech and private practice, looking to the future that’s waiting for those scaleup GCs ready to embrace it.
