Paul Harker is the Global Head of Legal and Corporate Strategy at Luno, where he was previously the Senior Legal Counsel. Paul joined Luno as their second legal hire and previously worked as a Senior Associate in Banking and Finance at ENSAfrica.

Paul has achieved both a Postgraduate Law degree and a B.Com in Economics and Law from the University of Cape Town.

Victoire Solly is Chief of Staff at Frenchfounders, and a former Legal Counsel at Qonto where she first joined as a Legal Intern. In her legal roles, she supported the legal and public affairs department across innovative projects and specialized in legal operations.

Jeremy Huitson is a Senior Product Manager at Juro where he works across the editor and collaboration teams.

Before his promotion to Senior Product Manager, Jeremy had a customer-facing role at Juro as Senior Customer Success Manager, with extensive experience in LegalTech as a Legal Engineer earlier on.

Jeremy's legal background started at the University of Oxford where he studied Law (Jurisprudence) and was the President of the College Law Society.

Jeremy also has a qualification in Product Management issued by General Assembly.

Juro launched a mentoring program exclusively for members of our community of in-house lawyers and legal ops teams. What did members make of our pilot program? We asked Rebecca, Head of Legal at Codat.

Rebecca McKenzie is a General Counsel at Codat, where she previously held the role of Head of Legal. Rebecca has more than 12 years of experience, and she was the Legal Counsel at businesses like Modulr and River Island before joining Codat. Rebecca has a wealth of experience leading Legal, People and InfoSec teams, and acting as a trusted advisor for legal issues ranging from intellectual property to data protection and corporate strategy.

Shay Xiao, Legal Counsel at Dentsu, shares her experience with the pilot mentoring programme - and explains how mentorship can encourage lawyers to be themselves at work.

Shay Xiao is the Senior Associate Counsel at Visa, and a former Legal Counsel at Dentsu International. Shay originally trained and qualified as a Solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, completing a secondment at Save the Children. Shay also runs Nutty Belly Gal, a small batch craft peanut butter brand based in London.

ChartMogul's Legal & Compliance Manager, Brittany, shares her thoughts on the value of mentorship in an in-house legal role.

Brittany Heilmann is the Legal Counsel at ChartMogul, where she is responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, including drafting and maintaining legal and compliance documentation, managing employment and contractor agreements, and advising on key legal risks. Before joining ChartMogul, Brittany was also a University Lecturer for US Business Labour Law and US Contract Law at Universität Osnabrück.

Expanding to a new jurisdiction is both an exciting and demanding project for legal teams. How can they tackle this workload in the most effective way? Azhar Khan, Senior Legal Counsel at Deel, shares his top tips.

Azhar Khan is the Managing Counsel at Remote, a Global HR Platform that helps companies hire, manage, and pay their entire team. Before joining Remote, Azhar was the Senior Legal Counsel at Deel, where he was the second hire into the legal team and he led on developing and implementing a legal framework for global EOR services. Azhar also has a lot of private practice experience, having previously worked in law firms like Linklaters, Clifford Chance, and Addleshaw Goddard.

Nastassia Drahi, Head of Legal at HiPay, shares her advice on how legal teams can prepare for expansion.

Nastassia Drahi is the Head of Legal at HiPay where she manages legal affairs and is part of the executive team. In her role, Nastassia manages a legal team of three and is responsible for optimizing workflows and implementing legal processes. She is also responsible for the drafting and management of commercial and procurement contracts, alongside larger projects around data protection and intellectual property.

Before joining HiPay, Nastassia was the Legal Counsel at Jellysmack where she audited legal processes and established new and improved ways of working for the legal function.

Julia Bodnar is the VP Data and Privacy at ESL FACEIT Group, a leading esports and video entertainment company. Before joining ESL FACEIT, Julia was the General Counsel at Pitch, a SaaS company.

Julia's earlier legal roles include as Group Legal Director at Awin Global, Legal Manager at Door2Door, and Junior Lawyer at Diageo.
