QIMA is a global leader in quality control, audits, inspections, and certification. With thousands of employees across multiple jurisdictions—and a lean legal team supporting them—QIMA needed a contracting process that could keep up with its pace of growth.

Instead, the lean legal team was drowning in manual work: clunky tools, slow uploads, scattered data, and contract lifecycles that weren’t really lifecycles at all.

“When I joined and opened the tool we were using, it felt like stepping back in time,” says Julia. “Nothing worked automatically. Everything had to be typed in by hand. The UX was awful. It just wasn’t built for the way modern teams operate.”

At the time, QIMA’s legal team relied on a heavily manual process:

  • Each contract had to be uploaded and filed individually
  • Signed copies were added one at a time
  • There was no comprehensive tracking or lifecycle management
  • Data could be inconsistent or difficult to locate
  • And the team spent hours every week on administrative tasks

“Our now Junior Legal Counsel used to spend two or three hours every week just uploading contracts. That’s before we even talk about reviewing or managing them.”

The requirements

Requirements: what did QIMA need?

By late 2023—just a few months into her new role—Julia began evaluating CLMs. QIMA needed a solution that could keep up with the scale and complexity of a 6,000+person global business, while remaining simple enough for non-legal teams to adopt quickly.

“The option to send a simple link to the signatory has been amazing,” Julia says. “We have clients who use their own systems, and it becomes a nightmare figuring out who needs to sign and following up. With Juro, it’s just… easy.”

An unexpected win came when QIMA used Juro to formalize its payment-collection process. Instead of sending manual reminder emails, the team created a simple, non-negotiable payment-letter template in Juro.

The impact was immediate: clients responded faster, and QIMA recovered a considerable amount in overdue payments within a short period.
