"The biggest difference with Juro is that you understand how in-house legal actually works"
QIMA is a global leader in quality control, audits, inspections, and certification. With thousands of employees across multiple jurisdictions—and a lean legal team supporting them—QIMA needed a contracting process that could keep up with its pace of growth.
Instead, the lean legal team was drowning in manual work: clunky tools, slow uploads, scattered data, and contract lifecycles that weren’t really lifecycles at all.
We spoke with Julia Bayma, Legal Manager, to learn how QIMA modernized its contracting process, unlocked new use cases beyond legal, and transformed contract management from a burden into a growth enabler with Juro.
QIMA’s legal team punches far above its weight. With just a few lawyers supporting more than 6,000 people worldwide, every hour counts.
But before Juro, the team was burning precious time wrestling with outdated tools and inefficient workflows that couldn’t keep up with the business.
The company had been relying on a legacy tool bundled into their ERP, long before the legal team had the time or bandwidth to optimize processes.
“When I joined and opened the tool we were using, it felt like stepping back in time,” says Julia. “Nothing worked automatically. Everything had to be typed in by hand. The UX was awful. It just wasn’t built for the way modern teams operate.”
At the time, QIMA’s legal team relied on a heavily manual process:
“Our now Junior Legal Counsel used to spend two or three hours every week just uploading contracts. That’s before we even talk about reviewing or managing them.”
With growth accelerating and high contract volumes across regions, QIMA knew something had to change.

By late 2023—just a few months into her new role—Julia began evaluating CLMs. QIMA needed a solution that could keep up with the scale and complexity of a 6,000+person global business, while remaining simple enough for non-legal teams to adopt quickly.
The ideal platform had to:

Replacing manual uploads was one of the legal team’s biggest priorities. Juro’s data-rich contract repository slashed the hours the team previously spent uploading, tagging, and filing documents.
“With Juro, we cut the time we spent uploading and tagging contracts by 75 per cent,” Julia notes. “And because we’re using Juro for contract creation and signing, every contract automatically lives in the platform and is fully searchable by default.”
Juro’s AI Extract capabilities also filled a critical gap: capturing data from third-party contracts.
“We were extremely impressed when AI Extract launched,” says Julia. “Data extraction is one of the most repetitive tasks we handle. Our team uses it on every contract, saving hours of work and greatly improving data quality.”

Juro’s signatory links solved another of the most persistent bottlenecks QIMA faced: chasing signatures.
“The option to send a simple link to the signatory has been amazing,” Julia says. “We have clients who use their own systems, and it becomes a nightmare figuring out who needs to sign and following up. With Juro, it’s just… easy.”
An unexpected win came when QIMA used Juro to formalize its payment-collection process. Instead of sending manual reminder emails, the team created a simple, non-negotiable payment-letter template in Juro.
The impact was immediate: clients responded faster, and QIMA recovered a considerable amount in overdue payments within a short period.
“It showed us that Juro isn’t just a CLM,” Julia adds. “It can support any repeatable document workflow and even help the business recover revenue. It was a quick win with huge impact. It has been great to prove legal to be a revenue contributor, rather than a cost to the organization.”
Since implementing Juro, QIMA has seen a step-change in how quickly and confidently contracts are managed across the business.
Legal no longer spends hours on manual admin; commercial teams can self-serve with ease; and regional entities have the templates and workflows they need to operate independently.

For Julia, the value goes far beyond time savings.
“I would absolutely recommend Juro,” she says. “I’m a huge fan of the company and the platform. Juro’s customer experience is second to none. We had a fantastic experience during the sales process, and it only got better once we onboarded.”
What stands out most is how well Juro aligns with the realities of modern in-house legal work.
“The biggest difference with Juro is that you understand how in-house legal actually works. Legal partners with sales, finance, and every part of the business. Most vendors focus only on lawyers, but Juro is built for cross-functional teams and all kinds of documents, and that’s what the modern lawyer needs.”
With intuitive workflows, AI-powered automation, and a responsive partner by their side, QIMA’s legal team has transformed contracts from a point of friction into a source of efficiency, insight, and business impact.
