ANC is the premier LED signage partner for major sporting events, commercial spaces and transit hubs across the USA, providing its customers with fully venue-integrated technology solutions. ANC was founded in 1997, employing more than 200 people nationwide, and counting dozens of iconic sporting brands amongst its customer base.

The challenge: no centralized process

As a fully integrated technology company providing a portfolio of solutions for its customers, ANC has a healthy and increasing volume of contracts to agree. Those deals involve multiple teams, often including colleagues in sales, technology, estimations and implementation; but a contract process spread across multiple platforms was making life difficult.

Kyle Piper joined the company as Contracts Manager to centralize and streamline the contract process, and he saw plenty of opportunity for improvement: “We used an Excel sheet for tracking contract statuses, a PDF form for contract requests and an internal shared drive for storage."

The requirements: one intuitive platform

ANC needed to cover contracts from draft to signature and beyond, through internal collaborations and approval, in one intuitive platform. Beyond this, ANC needed:

  • Visibility: understanding at any moment where contracts were sitting and how to progress them faster would help ANC serve its clients better
  • Versatility: ANC’s contracts solution had to be suitable for a massive range of templates and end-users, with an intuitive interface and fast adoption
  • Integration: the solution needed to fit into the existing tech stack and work seamlessly with Salesforce

ANC met with and compared several vendors, finding that “Juro was the most robust platform, with the most versatility.” They also found that while some vendors wanted to charge per template or per workflow, Juro’s pricing (with a flat fee for unlimited users, unlimited workflows and unlimited templates) was “ideal” for ANC’s use case.

From signing with Juro to rolling out the product “it took two to three weeks, only due to delay on our side,” says Kyle. Implementation “was incredibly easy and the Juro team was exceptionally accommodating - they gave us everything we needed to hit the ground running, but made sure we knew everything we needed to know to run with this ourselves rather than relying on support.”

The initial scope covered commercial contracts, including:

  • Service agreements
  • Maintenance agreements
  • Sales contracts
  • Operations agreements
  • Technology licensing agreements

… with templates centralized in one system of record, from which end users can draft, internally collaborate, negotiate, approve and sign contracts quickly (integrated with Salesforce).

However, due to seamless adoption and dramatic time-savings, ANC quickly expanded Juro’s footprint to cover NDAs and other legal contract matters, soon followed by the HR team’s offer letters and employment contracts.

“We expanded into the entire company,” says Kyle. “Everyone is working out of Juro - all of ANC’s legal ops run through it. It’s the key tool we use to do our job right now.”

Key features for ANC to create their ideal contract workflow are:

  • Template editor: “using conditional formatting to change what appears in the contract is really impressive”
  • Q&A flow: “allowing people to draft agreements themselves based on a series of simple questions saves lots of time”
  • Flexible signature options: ANC values that counterparties can sign securely in Juro, or using its DocuSign integration, or simply upload already-signed PDFs
  • Table views: “the ability to personalize your view of contract data, and format, filter and sort it for your individual needs is a game-changer”

Table views are particularly impactful due to the integrated offering ANC brings to its wide range of clients. “If I need a list of contracts that we have with any particular team in the NFL, for example, I can create that filter super easily to share with our internal stakeholders,” Kyle explains.
