Henchman is a contract drafting tool that allows users to draft, review and redline contracts. But how does it compare to an all-in-one solution like Juro?

Teams choose Juro because the entire contract lifecycle happens in one place - from first draft to signed repository. Henchman accelerates drafting for lawyers in Word, but it stops there. No workflows. No signing. No business-team access.

Henchman is an add-in that enriches your Word environment with precedent clauses - useful for lawyers, invisible to everyone else.
Juro is where contracts get initiated, drafted, reviewed, negotiated, signed, and stored. The whole process in one place, with no Word dependency and no DMS required to get started.

Henchman has no native eSigning functionality. Once a contract is drafted, you're pushing it somewhere else to sign - adding a tool, a vendor, and a step to the process.
Juro's legally binding eSignature is built in and included on all plans, with customizable signing options and a full audit trail.
Henchman is built for lawyers who draft complex contracts. Business teams - sales, procurement, HR, finance - have no role to play in the workflow.
Juro lets legal set the guardrails and lets business teams self-serve from within them. Fewer bottlenecks, faster execution, and adoption that scales beyond the legal team.
“Implementing Juro has revolutionized the way that my team manages contracts! Tasks that used to take 1-2 hours are now completed in a fraction of that time!”
“Using Juro as our CLM tool has changed the game for our legal team. Implementation was excellent. Each of our contract stakeholders (including counsel) has increased visibility into contract terms and status”
“One of the amazing things about Juro is that the sales team can self-serve and take a lot of the initial burden off of the legal team”
"Would be great if the database would sync real time (so that new clauses are uploaded in Henchman immediately after drafting) and not on a daily/weekly basis"
"We receive a lot of contracts in PDF-format, here we cannot make use of Henchman (it does search in these documents, which is nice)"
"Currently not all types of documents in the framework of transactions are supported yet, but we understand this will be added shortly"
Yes. LexisNexis completed its acquisition of Henchman in July 2024. Henchman was founded in 2020 in Ghent, Belgium, and had raised approximately $10M before the acquisition. LexisNexis acquired the company to integrate Henchman's drafting technology into its Lexis+ AI and Lexis Create products.
Teams evaluating Henchman should factor in that its roadmap is now part of a much larger legal research organisation, and that the standalone Henchman product's future direction is determined by LexisNexis priorities.
Henchman is a contract drafting tool that works as a Microsoft Word and Outlook add-in. It connects to a legal team's document management system (DMS) and surfaces relevant precedent clauses and definitions from that database while lawyers draft in Word.
It is designed for legal professionals working on complex, bespoke contracts - M&A, commercial, real estate, IP - who need fast access to previously approved language.
It is not a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform. It does not provide eSignature, approval workflows, a contract repository, or business-team access.
Juro integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Docusign, Slack, Microsoft Word, Google Drive, Zapier, Greenhouse, Ashby, ChatGPT, and a REST API. Zapier extends that reach further - it connects Juro contracts with 6,000+ apps without writing a single line of code.
