Does Avokaado work for legal?
Avokaado is designed to help law firms and legal departments manage their contracts more efficiently. But are Avokaado’s features advanced and intuitive enough to enable legal and business teams to create, edit, negotiate, approve, sign and manage contracts at scale?
This page explores the features, limitations and pricing of Avokaado, comparing it to Juro's all-in-one contract automation platform.
Avokaado limitations
As a contract lifecycle management software, Avokaado seeks to streamline the entire contract lifecycle for legal teams.
The software has a basic text editor, a discussion section for documents and a contract repository, which is fitted with a real-time contract dashboard so that you can keep track of your contracts’ progress.
Whilst the software appears to provide a comprehensive contract tool for legal professionals, some of the features it does offer are limited, which creates unnecessary friction throughout the contract workflow.
For instance, their contract editing tool is extremely basic, with very simple formatting capabilities. This is distinct from Juro where users can add an unlimited number of custom fields, rich media and custom branding to create beautifully designed contracts in seconds.
Similarly, Avokaado’s negotiation features are less advanced than those in Juro, since the platform doesn’t support tracked changes and comments must be left in the in-doc discussion to request these changes.
Some additional limitations of Avokaado include:
- No native eSignature: unlike Juro which has advanced native eSignature functionality, Avokaado users will have to rely on a third party eSignature provider in order to get contracts signed
- Limited negotiation functionality: it’s not possible to track changes on contracts using Avokaado. Instead, users must request changes in the discussion section during negotiations, which can create unnecessary friction for parties
- Lack of integrations: aside from some eSignature integrations, Avokaado doesn’t integrate with many of the key systems used by the teams legal enables - like Salesforce, Workday or even Slack. This is distinct from Juro which integrates with over 4,000 apps, helping your legal and business teams remain in the platforms they love
Juro benefits
✍️ Rich-text editor designed for contracts
Designed specifically for contracts, Juro’s browser-based rich-text editor makes it quick and easy for users to self-serve and create beautifully designed contracts in seconds.
The unique editor enables legal and business teams to add rich media to agreements, personalise contracts and set up and update templates with ease.
Not only does this allow commercial teams to work independently on high-volume contracts like Software Reseller Agreements, but it also frees up legal’s time for higher priority tasks. For some businesses, Juro’s flexible editor has even eliminated the need to hire a second lawyer.
🌐 Real-time contract collaboration
Unlike Avokaado’s collaborative functionality which is limited in places, Juro’s negotiation and collaboration features are extensive and advanced, offering everything legal and business users need to agree contracts at scale. This makes Juro a great option for businesses seeking contract negotiation software.
Juro users can leave internal and external comments, set up sophisticated approval workflows and decide which edits are visible to counterparties.
Juro’s automatic redlining removes unnecessary friction throughout the negotiation process, allowing your business to get all kinds of contracts, from a Deed of Variation to a Memorandum of Agreement template, across the line and capture revenue faster and more efficiently.
⚙️ Replace several tools with one
Using multiple tools for contracts means legal spend their time doing low-value admin tasks. Before implementing Juro, 30 per cent of Cazoo’s legal team’s time was spent on admin that could have been automated.
With Juro’s all-in-one contract automation software, you can replace several tools with one.
Unlike Avokaado which still relies on third-party providers during the contract lifecycle, Juro streamlines the entire contract lifecycle and provides native functionality to help legal and business teams manage contracts more efficiently at every stage.
Juro users can create, edit, review, approve, sign and manage contracts with ease, all in one unified workspace. Not only that, but Juro also integrates seamlessly with over 4,000 other platforms, making it easy to connect and access data from your favourite systems.
Avokaado pricing
Avokaado offers three paid plans, with their standard plan starting from €49 per user per month. This package includes document sharing and management, as well as approval processes and collaborative drafting.
However, it doesn’t provide access to document automation functionality, meaning users on this plan can’t access advanced formatting and custom branding for their contracts.
Meanwhile, their premium plan offers access to document automation, but is charged at €60 per user per month, but with a limit of up to 15 users.
Avokaado’s most comprehensive plan is their custom plan, which provides advanced sign in options and API, among other things. This has no advertised price, so businesses will need to contact Avokaado’s sales team for further pricing information.
Since Avokaado doesn’t offer unlimited templates or native eSignature as part of their plans, it’s possible that fast growth businesses managing increasing contract volumes will feel restricted on Avokaado’s plans.
Juro users benefit from a wide range of flexible plans tailored to suit scaling businesses. Juro has no cap on templates, native electronic signature as standard and a dedicated customer success manager to ensure your legal and business teams are fully prepared to manage contracts at scale.
